Description
Everyone talks about essential oils, but many people aren’t sure how to use them or how they can be infused into a yoga practice. In the eBook: Plant Allyship and Support, you’ll learn about the history of these plant allies, their incredible benefits and also dive deeper into Brit’s favorite 8 DoTERRA pure essential oils.
Maximize the benefits of these oils by accompanying them with this 8-video series of delicious yin yoga, sacred sounds and aromatherapy. Each session is about 30 minutes long and approachable for all. Brit (RYT-500) will guide you into your body for deep nourishment of the mind, body & spirit. Grab your props: a yoga mat, 2 blocks, a strap (or tie), blanket, bolster (or pillow) and eye mask. If you don’t have props, here’s a list of some suggestions.
Yin yoga curious? This is the perfect introduction to Brittany’s favorite practice. Each class will highlight about 5 different shapes (postures) intended to go deeper into the body to support the joints, ligaments & fascia. Embracing the yin (slow, cool, calm, steady) in our very yang (fast-paced, always moving, hot, bright) society is essential to finding one’s own ‘balance’. Instead of a typical ‘flow’ class, you’ll enter into the shape with care, hold the postures for time, use the breath, explore your own ‘edge’ and come out of the shape slowly. Note* yin yoga is different than restorative yoga. If you are currently working with an injury, restorative yoga is much more supportive.
Benefits of yin yoga may include:
• Reduces stress and anxiety
• Increases circulation
• Calms the mind, body and spirit
• Lengthens connective tissue
• Revitalizes the tissue of the body
• Supports immune function and digestion
• Restore range of motion
• Connect to the body (embodiment)
• Increase resilience
• Fosters emotional intelligence
This is the truest form of radical self care. Soul food!
